About Me
I have been a full-time counsellor for 20 years (8 in GP
surgeries) and previously worked in business and government settings both in the UK and abroad.
I am married with two grown-up sons. My interests include music, art, yoga, belly dancing,
holistic health and the natural world.
I have an MA in Counselling Studies from Keele University in 1997 where my research dissertation was ‘The Use of Imagery in the Treatment of Depression’. I gained experience with a local Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre, a Day Centre for Mentally and Physically Disabled Adults and was therapist/trustee for a charity.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Registered Member of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Primary Care (CPC). I abide by professional Codes of Ethics & Practice.
I also offer a separate therapy - The Radiance Technique®
(Authentic Reiki®) – simple but powerful practice for meditation & relaxation which you can also
learn for yourself.
