ABOUT JENIFER HIGGINS
Counselling
I have been a Therapeutic Counsellor for 20 years, 8 years in GP surgeries, and previously worked in business and government settings both in the UK and abroad. I am married with two grown-up sons. My other interests include music, art, belly dancing, yoga, holistic health and the natural world.
Training
I have an M.A. in Counselling Studies from Keele University in 1997 where my research dissertation was "The use of imagery in the treatment of depression". I gained experience with a local Rape & Sexual Abuse Centre and a Day Centre for Mentally and Physically Disabled Adults
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered member of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Primary Care (CPC). I abide by professional codes of ethics and practice.
The Radiance Technique®
Training
I have studied The Radiance Technique® for ten years to The Third Degree (Authorized Instructor) level. I offer TRT® sessions and seminars for studying The First Degree (for self-help). I was attracted to TRT because of the integrity of the people I meet who practice it. TRT® is part of my own journey towards health and wholeness. It helps me to manage stress, balance my emotions and develop inner strength, clarity and peace of mind. It is ancient wisdom for our modern world.
I am a Member of The Radiance Technique Association for Great Britain (TRTAGB). I abide by professional codes of conduct and practice.
Personal Development
- - included a journey to Mexico in 2004 with a group led by Soluntra King, working with the energies and inner connections of the sacred sites built long ago to help humanity to move through conflict and separation towards peace and oneness with all creation
- - included a journey to South Island, New Zealand in 2008 with a group led by Soluntra King visiting sacred sites and tuning into ancient civilizations including Milford Sound ("the womb of creation"), Fox Glacier, Castle Hill and Lake Coleridge.
Clients
I enjoy working with people of all ages (children accompanied by an adult) and am pleased to explore both personal and spiritual themes.
